NLCA FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

MOST POPULAR FAQS

When is the first day of school? Will NLCA have early release days?

The first day of school will be August 15, 2024. Our calendar for the 2024-2025 school year is linked below. NLCA will follow a more traditional weekly schedule rather than early release each week. Student drop off begins at 7:45am and dismissal starts at 3:15pm.

What does the enrollment/admissions process look like?

1.  Meet the director (optional) Getting to know you is important to us. Schedule a meeting and plan to spend 30 minutes with the director. She will be happy to answer questions and help you learn more about our program.

2.  Apply online: A non-refundable application fee of $80 is required for each new application.

3.  Gather enrollment documents: Birth certificate, immunization records or exemption letter

4.  Schedule a kindergarten screening (kindergarten only). This meeting allows your family the opportunity to meet the kindergarten teacher and provides us with information about your child’s social/emotional maturity.

5. Enroll online: Once accepted there is an enrollment fee of $250 per student, this helps cover the cost of consumable books and materials.

How much is tuition? How does that compare to local private schools?

NLCA's goal is to provide a high level of personal attention to each student, and provide our staff the support needed to execute their crucial role in our child's lives. Each NLCA classroom will be staffed with an experienced educator and dedicated teacher's assistant. We suggest that you book an educational consultation to review tuition costs, tour our facilities, discuss financial aid, and review tuition reimbursement programs.

Is NLCA accredited? Why is this important?

The school’s leadership highly values the accountability and credibility that comes with achieving school accreditation, but this cannot be fully achieved until NLCA has been in operation for multiple years. In the meantime we are members and will carefully operate the school in accordance with ACSI’s established accreditation standards with that goal in mind. By valuing and adhering to the ACSI accreditation process, it ensures NLCA is delivering the highest level of education with standards that have benefited kingdom educators since 1978: "ACSI exists to strengthen Christian schools and equip Christian educators worldwide as they prepare students academically and inspire them to become devoted followers of Jesus Christ."
